John Novak Education: Bachelor of Architecture, Washington State University Background: John’s early years were spent living in the town of Santa Monica, California building tree houses and exploring the candy store. Later he moved to Edmonds, Washington where he found the trees were hard to build forts in so he turned his attention to playing sports and fixing things around the house. After a five-year stint in beautiful, under-appreciated, Pullman he now resides in Seattle where he loves the variety of neighborhood architecture, culture, and parks. When not working his thoughts turn toward exercise and sports, hiking in the Cascades, reading books on architecture, and thinking about ideal design. He has a tremendous passion for design and hopes to sometime soon go to graduate school and expand his knowledge into landscape architecture, sustainable building practice, and eventually teach the fine art of design. John came to Sortun-Vos Architects in 2007. |
