Tom Nychay Education: Bachelor
of Science, Washington State University, 1984 Registration: Washington State, 1993 Background: Tom
grew up in the Puget Sound area after living in different regions of the
United States and Canada. Following his interest in drawing, graphic arts
and building, he pursued an architecture degree at WSU. Tom's thesis project:
"A Model Residence for the Mentally Disabled" investigated issues
of integrating those with mental handicaps in existing residential environments. Experience: Tom
joined Sortun·Vos Architects in 2000 and became a principal the following year. He is licensed
in Washington State and brings a wide range of experience and design enthusiasm
to the firm. His responsibilities include all phases and aspects of architectural
design work. Skilled in both computer and hand drawing, Tom participates
in new single and multi-family projects, residential remodels, and commercial
projects. Activities: Tom
is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the National Trust
for Historic Preservation, and Historic Seattle. |
