Sortun-Vos helped the owner subdivide a large lot, allowing a new house to be built on the edge of Lake Meridian. Careful attention was paid to minimizing blocking the view from an existing house. By separating the garage from the house, providing space between, and stepping the roof down, the view from the upper house was minimally impacted. The upper floor master suite is tucked into the roof at one side. The Architect took inspiration from both Scandinavian hillside houses and white-painted classic American Farmhouses.
