The owners of a beautiful site on the waterfront of Vashon Island approached Sortun·Vos requesting a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Sortun·Vos responded with a finely crafted home on three levels overlooking the water views. A central stair of steel and bamboo connects the upstairs master suites to the main level living spaces, to the lower level offices and library. Thoughtful and creative use of materials throughout include a low maintenance metal roof, vertical grain fir, bamboo flooring, and linoleum (used on countertops).
