Kitchen Addition Seattle, Washington Contractor: JAS The owners of this 1905 Phinney Ridge craftsman house wanted an interior stair to their basement and a complete kitchen remodel. Besides the kitchen, which was remodeled in the early 1980's, the house managed to retain all of its original woodwork and finishes. Sortun·Vos Architects' approach to the remodel/addition was to make the addition and its finishes appear to have been built at the same time as the rest of the house. The orientation of the house was reworked to address the territorial views to the west and grant access to the most private portion of the yard. Completed 2006
