LAKE WASHINGTON HOME
Seattle, Washington
Schultz Miller
Originally built in the 1970's, the house had fallen into disrepair. The new owners, excited by its waterfront location and expansive single level footprint are updating and upgrading all aspects of the house. Foundations have been repaired, walls super-insulated, and high efficency windows and doors installed. Although architecturally nondescript originally, the mansard roof was kept and used to embellish the character toward a Châteauesque style. Elegant, vertical proportions and terra cotta like moldings and trims ornament the exterior. The interiors will be completely renovated to maximize light and accessibility. Many spaces will feature built in cabinetry, stone fireplaces, and other highly detailed finishes.
