Island Cottage

Mackinac is nestled in the Straits between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Bicycle and horse are the preferred mode of transportation —no cars on the island.
This summer cabin features open, informal living, dining and kitchen spaces in the "great room" concept. The 3 bedroom sleeping areas are set off from the living area by the central front door-back door circulation. The living area expands with a large bay and a screened porch.
Vertical proportions are used and details are being developed to evoke a Victorian feel that is prevalent to the island.
