The Owners wanted to convert their semi-finished basement into quality living area. Guest room, bath, and a good sized TV/media/family room were designed. Laundry, storage and mechanical equipment are also located on this floor. Ceiling height was increased by lowering the floor , underpinning the foundation and installing a new slab, insulation, proper drainage and moisture barrier. New hydronic heating was installed for the whole house which included in-floor heat in the basement slab and main floor, and radiators on the top floor. The rotting deck will be replaced with a smaller version to allow more yard and barbeque area. |
